Here is a quick summary of changes being made to ACT beginning April 2025:

• Total number of questions in the test has been reduced by 44.
• Total testing time has been reduced to 125 minutes.
• The number of answer choices in math questions has been reduced from five to four.
• Science section is optional.
• The new changes will be implemented with the online ACT tests beginning April 2025, and will be rolled out to ACT national paper tests beginning September 2025.
